I for one try to retain a level of apathy on all aspects of my life so that I may not be overcome by wild emotions. Think of it as a separate part of my thinkings process. Another me which looks everything over and tries to find reasons who he should not care. I find knowing why that part may not care has been a great tool for many things, including becoming more compassionate.

The darkness in society is because there is light to compare it against. Events, people, views which we find are generally good because of something very basic in us. Just as basic is our tendency for things we deem as negative. For that matter, things we once saw as positive a few hundred years ago are no longer morally correct in todays society.

Our reality is defined by conflict, by struggle. Otherwise life would stagnate. It is through this that we must practice peace. It is through the fact that life is by it's nature some sort of struggle that we must try to abide by what the force teaches us, for it is not the destination, but the journey.

I hear the call to leave, to follow many of my Jedi brothers and sisters to whatever new home they find. This I will do, but remain here I shall also do for is anything it is my duty as a Jedi to remain. To remain and watch events unfold, to watch members come and go. To offer my experience to those who do come, and to offer a familiar face to those who go if they wish to return.

It is my duty to try and remain separate of the politics so that if for no other reason I may say I was there for the events, to say that I tried in all my ability to learn from whatever may come from this until it's very end.

Leaving may resolve the matter, it may not...but what one must always keep in mind is that regardless of what site we meet on, we are Jedi. We are a part of the greater whole and regardless of what happens, there will always be a greater whole. The brotherhood will always survive these times.

Those who leave, I wish you well. Those who leave, I hope to see you during my own journey in this life.

Those who stay, I do not claim to know what has gone on, but I ask only this of you from what I do know: Be patient. Be mindful of negative thoughts. Now is a time to reserve what one says to what one needs to say. Let's avoid allowing ourselves fall once more into argument over what is happening. Let us have faith in the councils's ability to resolve the matter for us. Until then, let us enjoy the resources we have hear and the peace I hope we can maintain by refusing to sacrifice by allowing what would normally be civil speech of what one believes in comparison to another to become one trying to convince the other is wrong.

Hmmm, knowing me the way I do, I'd most likely end up with red and Shinkendo. That's just trying to answer the question though as if I were someone else trying to figure out what I would use.

If I had to select for myself, it would be green and Ataru / Ataro / Sokan.

Hello,

I am Harvengure. I am a new member here and someone who has recently turned to Jedism.

I look around this site and I see many things, many people, many opinions and experiences expressed. Then I look at these things I see one thing that is common for them all. They are by humankind.

We as humans are not perfect, nor can we please everyone else of our race. We as humans are prone to lust, fear, anger, sloth, greed and many other things which could be called negative.

But, I also see people who wish to be Jedi, who wish to live by the force.

We must pardon the injury stricken to us by those who wish to have us removed from the site for whatever reason, wether it be John or any other member. Once forgiven, our anger may subside. Once the anger subsides, we may once again allow the force to guide us as it intends.

Though the force uses hardships to teach us, it also teaches us peace, and responsibility.

Yes, responsibility. We are a community. What one of us does, ultimately effects the others. When one of us lashes out in fear of losing control or anger because we feel insulted, we are lashing out at everyone. When one of us mocks another because we do not agree with their views, we mock ourselves for we call ourselves Jedi and with our mocking, mock what we agree a Jedi should be by being on this site.

Now, of course interpretation will cause a difference in what we feel a Jedi is, as agreed by us by being on this site and thusly a counsel we formed...the collective experience of several people in the hopes that those people may be wiser then the one. Eventually, that counsel may fail, giving way to more conflict such as we see now, once again effecting us all.

At that time, we, the members of the community, followers of the force must try remember that we are just that, members of the community and that we have a responsibility to everyone else in that community as well and instead of what is doing right for ourselves, doing what is right for everyone, for we are followers of the force, we are Jedi.

In terms of Jedism, I am new, but please do not let this sway you from reading what I have to say.

We are all a part of the force, wether we like it or not. We all serve the force, wether we like it or not. This is how it is and how it will always be, for it is the force. It flows through us, it binds us.

Times of trouble. People who wish to anger us or cause conflict or who may simply disagree with us. These are all tools in which the force, through the life it has given us, tries to teach us.

Through these lessons we always learn something new, wether is on how to peacefully resolve the matter or on how we can seek immediate satisfaction through whatever means. May it be arguing on forms or banning. How we learn these lessons really should not matter when it is what we learn that is important.

This site was created to teach, created for us to learn and communicate with like minded people, but in that it seems to be failing if not having already failed.

Let us be the Jedi we came here to be. Let us be the an instruments of peace we are meant to be.

Instead of allowing ourselves to be baited into arguments on these forums, let us pardon.

Instead of losing hope that this site may be lost, let those who wish to be the light in the darkness and using our faith, remain here despite how hard it may be. For through our faith we, if anything will broadcast a message to others who with to be the Jedi we strive to be. Through our faith, we shall grow stronger in the hardship of remaining here and continue to learn as this sites intention has always been.

I hope these words, if anything, give some of you the hope I have discovered in this site despite it's disheveled state. I hope they grant you the will to if anything, try to be the Jedi we all try to be and in that, live well with The Force.

With this said, may the force be with you.
