Right or Left Brain Test

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking

THE Right Brain vs Left Brain test ... do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.

Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

Thanks to Jedi Davin Robal for test http://jedisanctuary.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=8482#8482

Sterling - no matter the outcome this experience is something that is wonderful!

I am proud of you for thinking to do it.

You can't pay for the kind of real-world education you will receive.

I may be one of your closest neighbors - but still in the wrong state and wrong town to vote for you.

May The Force Be With You in this endeavor. Work hard/have fun and it will be a success no matter the outcome.

Let us know how it goes!

Okay...click the record

What are the good years of your life? What are the bad? Which are the important?

This was a very good year for me.

Finding the Jedi Path, the Jedi Fellowship, and all that it contains has made this a very important year.

I love Sinatra's music - and this song is a great one to make you stop and think over your life no matter how young or old.

Where was I ten years ago? What will I be doing ten years from now?

What do I really think I will be doing ten years from now...?

It something I think about at the holidays and every New Years I begin focusing on the year ahead. I think where I will want to be in the various aspects of my life. I set New Years Resolutions.

I go one year forward
I go five years forward
I go ten years forward
I go twenty years forward

Look behind...was it a very good year? Look ahead...will it be a very good year?

I could not have imagined what this year brought - but the exercise is interesting if you'd like to take it.

I have trained a few places and had a few mentors - and am currently training.

Physically I had to begin again. I had never meditated and learned the variety of ways to quiet the mind whether for deep meditation, recouperative meditation or meditation to assist with work and also light meditation in personal interractions.

Nutritionally I changed what I eat/drink radically. Physical activity - well - I need to do a bit more work - that is difficult with my schedule. I own retail stores and over this holiday time I've decided to cut myself some slack. LOL - but I'm also creating a work-out area and regimine - so January - here I go...

I am currently giving/throwing away about 85% of the "stuff" I've kept around me that are dead areas. So even where I live is changing.

I am far more mindful of how I life. I am less wasteful and more thoughtful on how I interract in my daily life both with others, with my surroundings, and as a world citizen.

Here at Temple Of The Jedi Force I am doing the lessons in the pre-apprentice training. I also train a couple other places - but those are more independent and "class" work.

I have many mentors - and it's been a terrific support and also gives me my greatest challenges.

Other aspects of my life have changed in that I can see the needs I might fulfill as a "Jedi" in society - for I have chosen a "specialty" in my Jedi Path - that of Jedi Explorer. I have continued my flying lessons and am also learning some other skill particular to this specialty. In my case - more as a Jedi Journalist/messenger/outreach.

But the greatest change is the fusion of my Jedi training and my regular life, job, my view of the world, which has all broadened in a remarkable way.

Knowledge is learning what we do not know - and ridding ourselves of what we feel we know, and then continue to go through life learning and experiencing.

This is not terribly organized but in one year my life has altered for the better a great deal. The Jedi Path is what you make it. I think I joined the Jedi when I really needed it.

Will I be able to see the journals as a pre-apprentice?

I find I learn a lot from reading others' work.

If possible - it would be greatly appreciated?

Already forgot about totally frozen pipes, Jim? You are becoming a soft and squishy Southerner!

Double-up two strong garbage bags in the toilet as if it were a garbage can...and do your duty.

No one will ever know...

There was a knock-down-drag-out fight at the Jedi Gatherings Group over trying to put everyone under the one umbrella of "Jedi".

Consider though - most spiritualities, political groups, philosophical groups, allow for designations outside of the one umbrella term.

Let's take Christians - or no let's even subdivide that to Protestant Christians. How many subdivisions of designations are there within the umbrella that is within an umbrella? Within that let's take "Lutheran" - there are also subdivisions of Lutherans.

There is the idea of the Jedi of Star Wars at our core. But there is a big difference between my path as a Jedi and Jim Fett's.

But we are both Jedi and at core our philosophy and lifestyle is likely a lot more similar than dissimilar.

My title at one site is "Jedi Lightsider Spinster Explorer".

All our designations really do is what an ID badge does. It tells us who and where we are in the scheme of things. But we all the organizational badge because we work at the same place.

My two cents.

Unity of Community - diversity is strength!

I don't think it's an issue either.

The main concern is in "use of intent" in using a term.

This band is not claiming to be Jedi - it is using the word "Jedi Mind Trick" term in a passive way.

Now - for those of us who are using the term in a more active way I don't think it's an issue so long as Lucas feels the term is not being abused.

I suspect this includes exchange of money or legal actions/transactions in the name of active "Jedi". If we claim we do it for the Jedi Order and such. I don't think I've really seen that...so far. We all know our sites are run by individuals - but it might be wise to distinguish this more for some?

He did stop one site a few years ago from selling their Jedi related tees, etc. I can find out the name of the site and what actually happened if you'd like?

Intent is the key...
