Attitudes from some members in particular. But we'll see I guess if there is something that pops up for a topic that intrigues me, if those same types of attitudes still exist here

I'd thought I'd see if this place was still active and whatnot.

Hopefully some things have changed...

Sure they belong here...stupid is as stupid does...glad I washed my hands of this place...you people need a grip on reality badly.

When you decide to drop the saber and actually use your brains and think, then perhaps you'll be Jedi...till then you are a bunch of roleplayers looking for a clue.

Thread would have gotten somewhere without the rather far fetched ideals for a "Temple" you wanted to add Scythe. Cry me a river baby.

God such babies....you don't like it when you get called on your BS. Amazing that.

Adversary of Jedi? Greyson...please stop with the cant from the movies. To say that Sith are actually adversarial is basically saying the same as saying "All Christians are uber-fundamentalists" or "all Muslims are terrorists." A fictious statement, and one that realies on doing no research on the matter.

Jedi don't make ill formed decisions, I've said that in the past but here again is more proof of just ill formed decisions running rampant.

In the real world, Jedi and Sith are not ememies....and for those of you that think this again you need to actually get with reality here. Jedi realism and Sith Realism are differing points of perspective on the Force. Sith realism is really no different in it's beliefs then Jedi Realsim, the only difference is Sith are more self-oriented then what Jedi realist are. Sith feel that the spiritual process is an inherently personal journey, ie the selfishness of a Sith. Not selfishness in a manner that is harmful, as they do teach others. But that a spiritual path is different for each person in it.

Yes, some Sith realists study what is known as the Left Hand Path (ie Satanism, the occult) however not all Sith do. I know a Sith lord that is a Christian as well as a practising Sith. I know Sith that do the same type of charity work and work that benefits others, but to them it's is a selfish purpose, it makes them feel good.

What is confrontational about them is simply they don't like backing away from hypocracy or anything else someone may portray in a post or statement and they confront that person on that. That is how they teach, and how anyone learns. More Jedi could do with that reminder.

In short, for anyone to say something like "Sith are ____ " and "Adversary of Jedi" needs to actually look at things and then decide. In short, if you are basing your statements off of one tracked "experience" then you have no wisdom to impart on the subject.

Do your homework

Tossing ideas around sounds an awful like debate to me ;)

Yeah, I let my frustration talk in the accusation I made towards TJF, which was unfair. But I also feel strongly that if more was done in terms of actually getting at issues rather then putting them off or pushing them to the side and focus on "well this person is not acting like a Jedi" or whatever minor thing is looked at then maybe things would improve.

I care about TJF, it was my first online home and I want to see it improve...but when things like this happen, it tells me that there is still areas in which TJF needs to improve.

As for Duro's comments towards me, his opinion doesn't bother me. Heck, it's an honest one cause that is how he felt. And who am I to tell someone not to be themselves and present themselves in a way that would be recognizable in the every day world.

But as for fighting for something Duro....if you don't fight for what you feel is best, how on earth do you portray yourself as a Jedi? After all, life is a constant conflict with things. We have to fight everyday in a manner of speaking. Debate is another venue for that. I'd rather come away from a debate with figurative scars and bruises and what have and having LEARNED something then a bunch of un-critical talk that does nothing to stimulate the mind.

Life isn't always gentle and easy going, why should debate or anything else be easy? That's not how things are.
