An F.Y.I. for those who have additional ordinations...

After Joining in 2005, I ordained with ULC out of Modesto... Well, I've learned a little since then... Nothing says you can't have more than one ordination...

For those who wanted ordination for non-christian _base_d, you've got the place... For those who wanted or want a Christian _base_d ordination this is the only official ULC that is faith-_base_d... ULC Modesto and Monestary are not faith-_base_d...

Thought I would share this with my other Jedi Home...

Taking the steps of a Jedi...

In the next week I am working on this _title_ for not just a learning or teaching tool but somehow an observation of the ultimate question... "By who's right is right or who's wrong is wrong?"

After posting this in the next week, I do not wish to see any member attack, slam or berate another members response. That's one of the reasons I am writing on this subject. During my time of LOA after my Husbands passing, I have pondered several topics that I will be sharing in the months to come.

Being the Cardinal-Bishop of one of the rites, (TOTJO) this is not _base_d on one Rite. I hope that all members will read this with openess and see it as a helpful tool....

Oh and these topics are others I am working on for now... with more to come.

What need am I forfilling in becomeing a Jedi...

Jedi, who me?

Member of a rite, does that make me more or less a Jedi than juest "Jedi"?

Does Pain mean you're not good enough or you fail to be a Jedi?

Well the pain in the a** Master is back.....

Jedi.... is there one way or another that is right?

When the cats away the mice will play... Yes dear, Mother is home!!! LOL, just kidding... but have spent my LOA with lots of study, research and self-examination.... As for Council..... Nah, don't need it, been there done that and Thank you anyway... I'm more of a teacher so that's where I will stay... anyways....

Jedi, is there one way or another that is right?

The answer... No. I've looked at this several different ways in the time I have been on leave of absence and am now able to come back with a different and positive attitude towards much of what Jedi means to me, as well as what it means to others... Yes, I have and am listening to others food for thoughts and belief systems.... More Power to ya!!!

There are several schools of thought as the term goes, as to what being a Jedi or related followings are. What I have observed in my studys and research is this; that it is the same principals as all religions from the time of man's quest for belief in idealisms and divinity.... From the dawn of man we have looked to understand who and what we are as well as looking to not be alone in this vast Universe.

Now, Even though I believe as a Christian Jedi, doesn't mean that anyone elses belief is not correct, doesn't mean we are both wrong... We're not. Even amoungst Christians, lets not forget that Christianity was not look at as a religion for a long time amoungst the multitudes of branches in the Pagan and Earthly beliefs of the Greek, Roman and Barbaric/untamed world (as it was called). Once Christianity took hold it became the main staple of religion for what was termed the Christian and Non- Christians worlds, but even Christianity had to adapt to many things to gain its followers. Many Pagan and other practices of old were adapted and reintroduced into Christianity from it's inception until the first great schism of Martin Luther helpped to usher in the Protastant religion, then over the centuries, other groups of Episcipal and Protestants branched into smaller congregations, etc....

Not to also see that each one of us, if were to sit down in a room with 20 people and had them read the Bible, Koran, Torah, Grimore's, etc.... All 20 would have a similar understanding but at the same time a different perspective of each reading... Lets never for get that as Jedi... Each of us believes in Jediism, but how we see it is our own view... Never tell antoher that they are wrong or have misunderstood what it is they are learning. Accept them just as they are. A Jedi... Plain and Simple....

Now I can't answer for Sith, I don't have a full understanding of them but I will say, wouldn't you agree in principal at least....

Dear Friends,

I have been gone for the last few months due to family emergency. A lot of bad things have happened. If you messaged me and I did not respond here's an update... Due to things beyond my control, my daughter and I lost the availability to keep the five acres and the home that we lived in due to rental situations. $The funds needed to catch up after Bob's death and all the landlord would not tollerate any longer so my family and my wolves have to vacate quickly now. I have gotten very sick over this physically and lost phone services that left me with no way to communicate.

Things are just nuts and spinning ina circle. Trying to save the last 12 wolves I have from death by finding rescues to take them..

So I now have a computer to use and trying to get back into life...

Sorry for being MIA for so long...

MTFBWYAAF,

Patty (Master Neaj Pa Bol)

Life lessons of a Jedi: The loss of one dear and how it works through the Jedi Code and the Jedi Creed. A Personal Point of View...

In Memory of my Husband Robert, who stood by me in my Journey into Jediism, whom I see as well as a Jedi. This is for you. You believed in me and now I am alone physically, but I have your memory to help me share this with others.... Patty

Taking a step back and re-evaluating things in my life is one thing I did with the loss of my husband. It was not done out of thinking my faith, my beliefs or any thing on that line was not to see if everything was right or wrong. Grieving the loss of someone very dear to one; a parent, a spouse or even a child, does make one ask questions, searching for more meaning to the why's, etc. It's human nature to think, even when something sad happens. My path was where to incorporate my beliefs into what was happening to me and around me. What my Christian beliefs would be, what my belief in Jediism would be. How do I plant these seeds of emotion into that belief system for myself. Yes, a little selfish on my part, these thoughts also do affect those around me as well, but it is my emotions, my grief.

I have found that the more I have studied the Code and what I am going though, I see out there that too many Jedi loose track of what it really means. We're not meant to be rocks or concrete and as hard as one in life. Emotions are human and we are meant to feel them. That is how we're defined as Empathic beings. It is when we let those substances rule the day and become so uncontrollable, that's when we fail the code....

Now uncontrollable feelings or an emotion does not mean that we are against the code or not following it, adhering to it, etc. The depth of a loss runs not just in our hearts or minds. It runs deep into our souls of who we are. As Human beings, this is what makes us such a life form, similar to each other, yet different as well.

Now, this is just my point of view in this matter, but it may help others to understand life within the code when dealing with emotional issues...

Each line of the code has more than one directional point. One is for the Jedi themselves and one is the view to help others.

For Review, (my personal choice of the code is the 5 statements)

The Jedi Code

There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no chaos; there is harmony.
There is no death; there is the Force.

Let's take the first line: There is no emotion; there is peace.

If we were single minded, closed to anything other than just what the words that are written.... Well we all would fail... This is a statement of balance as I have learned. When one is balanced in their emotions, one can find peace. In that peace and balanced emotions, we can understand others in their time of need...

This line does not place where one would be if there was something that was emotional. But if you look at this, like in a Humanistic way. "There is no Emotion," one could believe that we feel emotions but we do not let them dictate our actions and thus, "there is peace" with the understanding of emotions, living with them and learning to handle them in the right way, one will find peace....

In The Grieving process, it takes time; it is not over night. We must give ourselves the time to adjust, be upset or as they say, even angry. Yell at the world that you are sad and hurting, missing the one you have lost. Even just sitting down at moments when you need to, to just cry and let yourself feel the pain of loss and cry of that loss.

When we do not let those feelings emerge and do what is natural, we tend to bottle them up, later on, down the road we become Apathetic and then we can not help others when we can not feel...

Let's take the second line: There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.

This line speaks about one seeking to gain further knowledge so that ignorance can not be an excuse to not help others or ones self. Ignorance is not being less educated, it is also learned and shared knowledge that may not have been passed down from one to another. Knowledge is where it all comes into play. Handed and passed down information's and teachings, learned knowledge by study and understanding. With Jedi, this all comes into place in the search for knowledge. That is why one starts as a youngling, then apprentice and then a knight.... Then through all, one still seeks further knowledge through the same methods as well as learned lessons throughout life. Even Masters continue to seek further knowledge by experience and learning. It's a cycle that when it starts continues on throughout life.

Let's take the third line: There is no passion; there is serenity.

Passion is an emotion, a strong one. It goes beyond Compassion. When one is said to be passionate about something, it means they strongly believe in something. Here we once again fall into where emotions play a part in life. To have "no passion" suggests that one has compassion for something but knows where to draw the line and not get obsessed with it. Once that understanding is learned, then the final line: there is serenity is truthful...

Everything we do, we will find strong emotions toward that subject or topic. As long as we keep from obsessing or feeling too much for it and noting else, serenity can be found.

Let's take the fourth line: There is no chaos; there is harmony.

Chaos is a word for complete loss of control or organization. Simply, learning to take things one at a time, learn them and practice them, keep your mind focused clearly, so that you can organize yourself, one can find harmony. But remember, in all things, it takes time and does not happen over night. One must practice and learn each and every day and apply the lessons each and every day.

Let's take the fifth line: There is no death; there is the Force.

Death is a natural thing. We heard this spoke by Yoda in the Ep. III to Anakin. But it is inevitable. I remember my Nursing instructor telling me, that dealing with death, one must come to terms with his or her own mortality. None of us want it, none of us can escape it we must come to terms in our own ways. Every religion has its belief that there is a Heaven, Paradise, Eternal Plain, etc. The Jedi call it the Force. How every you choose the words, it will still happen. But once again, we see, that emotion has its hand in this as well....

Everything in the code ultimately has to do with emotions, no way around it. But the lesson I have learned the greatest of is this, as all things are, one must let them happen to learn from and be a part of. If we try not to in any way, we trully can not understand or live by the code. Let alone truly be human to help others as well....

In Ep. I Obi-wan says to Gui-Gonn, "Not again Master, If you would only follow the code you would be on the Council." Gui-Gonn's response was, "I will do what I must Obi-Wan."

In Obi-Wan's view Gui-Gonn was letting his emotions for young Anakin interfere with good judgment, yet, Gui-Gonn was actually following the code by allowing the Force to directed him.

No matter what each Jedi perceives, the understanding truly becomes one of your own. But the lessons in life that you will come up against, using the code to help you will often bring you back to one word of thought; Emotion.
It is in everything that we do, are and will be, no matter if we choose it or not...

Even in the Creed you will find it refers quite often to that word as well.... EMOTION
The Jedi Creed

I believe in the Living Force of Creation;
I am a Jedi, an instrument of peace;
Where there is hatred I shall bring love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

I am a Jedi.
I shall never seek so much to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive;
In pardoning that we are pardoned;
And in dying that we are born to eternal life.

The Living Force of Creation is always with me; I am a Jedi.

May The Force Be With You Always And Forever

Thank you everyone for you kind words, thoughts, prayers, emails and all. My family and I are truly touched.

After the 21 gun salute, Taps and the presentation of his flag, did the finality of all this come to pass....

Though it will be a tough time for us, I have faith that somehow things will work out for us. I miss him dearly and each day I miss him more. We had 27 years together and I can not extend to you how it feels to lose one that you have been with for so long. Now I have to prepare for a new chapter in my life. Like a Child just learning to take new steps will be how it is for me, or so it feels like.

Once again, Thank you all....

Bob, I love you and always will.... Until we are together again....

Patty

Thank you everyone from myself, my daughter Shannon and my Grandson Zackary and our family for you prayers, thoughts and kind words.

I am grateful that Bob is no longer suffering and even though it was a devestation that he passed as quickly as he did, he is at peace now and no longer in Pain.

Bob was a great supporter for me in becoming a Jedi and a Minister. We would talk many times about the Jedi teachings but he wasn't ready to be a Jedi himself.

Bob was very proud of being a Veteran and that of being a member of our Special Forces in the Army.

His family and I will miss him dearly.

Bless all of you and May The Force Be With You all, Always And Forever!!!!

Patty
