Aang, I think those of us that come and go and return, again and again.
The "lifers" are the ones that still follow the lessons of Jediism.
We have to continue to follow what has helped us all so much.
Funny, why do I feel like this may just be the birth of "The Old Guard"

What do you all think?

I come from a rough background.
That's as much detailas I will leave here.
Like my Master has stated, I too have a deep affinty to martial arts studies, as they are like breathing to me. (Come to think of it my bacon has been saved a time or 2 thanks to MA)
This place has helped me in such a way that I might never truly be able to pay it back.

I have Master Jinn Osiris to thank for helping find this place.I was looking for something different. Something with a different feel, more resonant energy. The vibe was right and I have been here since.
Through everything rough, extreme or not, the force has been guiding me well for a longtime now.
Some of us stumble, some of us fall.
The force will always embrace us.

Returning again it almost feels surreal..

Nira...
Thanks love.
Yes, unfortunately this gets exponentially harder!!!
That is in no form a euphemism that is the cold hard truth of it. Because the fact of the matter is the further on this journey we go the further we are pushed and the harder we are tested. Faith is funny like that and then there is the fact that the force is not without a morbid sense of humor! It's one of those things that you're just going to have to grow accustomed to if you are going to survive your Jedi career.

Nas, we have had discussions in private about this subject at decent length. Although I was and to some degree still am going through the ringer. I would like to think that we covered some this subject matter quite well. We should know that life will continue to test us, when you've crossed that line into Mastery the trials seem almost continuous.

It is a narrow and perilous road we venture as Jedi. Mainly because we have chosen such a solitary path. Even with the assistance of our Mentors and Contemporaries to help guide us through out this journey its still a lonely road we walk...

I'd like to say that having fallen off the path myself I can relate to those that have done so before I did but as my Mother used to say 'Every mind is a world of its own' even still.
Those of us that have made this commitment to the force and to the world, We hold a responsibility to ourselves and to world at large to see this path through.

We are in a very real way public servants.
It is part of the Jedi mandate to serve others as we would serve ourselves, is it not?
We are human and in this humanity we tend to get lost sometimes due to the depth of emotions and personal suffering/sacrifice involved in what we do.

I know it can be a pain in the tush (quite literally sometimes) but that is part of what being a Jedi is, Perseverance..

All this emotional pain and turmoil I have lived recently has served as a means to temper my feelings and responses to things and situations. I know I still have a very long way to go but I am determined to continue this path. I have learned so much from these teachings coupled with the pain I have lived since reaching the rank I hold. I have been humbled many times over and I am grateful for that.

I know what its like to have an apprentice quit for selfish reasons and for real life reasons..

Then I had personal reasons to back out. I never gave up though!
I couldn't even conceive of it...
I have gained so much from this place and the ways of the force that I could not leave what I have learned behind.
I trust in the force, it has never led me anywhere I didn't need to be...

May the force be with you, always

True story! you either make an donkey of yourself or you look like a child that needs constant approval. Neither is a good look for an adult let alone a Jedi.

It's nice to see you lurking in the halls again Todd!
Welcome back!!!

Welcome to the temple Marcus

As Master Octagon has stated, it can be a difficult journey but one with great rewards...

This is the least walked path on the road to self discovery, and the least walked path on the road to self mastery. Matter of factly, this the least walked path of the least walked paths. I'm not saying this to discourage you more so, so you are aware of the path you are choosing to walk.

The force is not like like the version of "God" that the world at large is accustomed to. There is a consciousness, a voice, and a twisted sense of humor. All of these will come into play on your journey with the force.
The force is your friend!
The force is your teacher.
The force is your ally.
The force is YOU!!!
The force simply IS...

But I digress, I will allow you to digest my words and tend to your initiate assignments. We will all keep an eye on you Marcus as your Journey in the force begins to unfold.
May The Force Be With You, Always...

My recent experiences have shown me that balance for some of us comes after everything around us has been torn asunder.

I had everything under control and yet still things were ripped apart through the actions of others. People who I thought were close and even those who were once blood related.
I am still attempting to put the pieces back together slowly but surely with hopes that one day soon all this madness will be just another horrible memory in my life.

I had to disappear from the world at large to be able to try and find a semblance of sanity. Balance will come from the ashes of the life that was, I hope!

I pray that the force gives me strength to overcome the hurdles that have been placed before me of late.

In the current system of things.
With what my recent past has shown me I would venture to say that its best to not even answer that question.
Answering that question usually leads to unrequested pain and suffering due to the avarice, selfishness, and envy of others. Perhaps my opinion is biased one but it has been proven to be true time and time again none the less...

Its nice to see the KM back up front again 🙏✊✌

As a former member of the Knights Marshall Committee it makes feel good to see it again...

I know I have been absent from the temple for a long while now but I am attempting to have my presence known again...
