Hello, Link!

Glad to see a good number of old members coming back to us recently.

There is certainly a kind of silence in this Forum recently, and in lots of other places too, which I am not surprised about tbh, as everyone around me (in real life too) is telling me how things got complicated and busy in their lives and it takes a lot of time and energy out of them... And it's the same in my case too. So I'm pretty sure there is something in the air, heh.

Life sometimes leads us to different roads and we meet obstacles that prevent us from doing what we really *want* so but most of the times it's not in our control so there's no reason at all to feel bad about it!

The most important thing is that you spent your time away with progressing and cultivating the Jedi Path outside of the "walls" of this Temple, too, and I'm happy to read this! Maybe (if you have the time and energy) you could share your experiences and learning process with us in your Training Journal, I'm pretty sure we all could learn a lot from them!

It is pretty funny actually that science just starts to discover a lot of stuff the sages and spiritual folks have already known for ages... (But they are primitive, oh damn for God's sake. ) I mean, like I remember reading about things like plants communicating with each other or the gut being the second brain of humans, etc, etc and I'm always like "You don't saaay??"

Not a single labyrinth in my town and not sure as if there is any in my country at all. I'd love to do this meditation as its symbolics resonate with me so much and I like doing ceremonial Jedi stuff so why not... I don't fully understand your way of making a labyrinth so I'd be glad to be helped out in this :D

On the other hand, the tree method seems brilliant to me!

Not actually sure if it's the right forum for this article but I thought to share it for I found it an absolutely fascinating discovery! It still creates debates in the field of science but it may make scientists later to reconsider the real nature(/place?) of intelligence and they *might* even start to open to a less materialistic approach.

I used to have a lot of lucky objects back then. These were mostly objects that had symbols on it depending on the subject I wanted them to "attract". I did artworks, too for this purpose. Now they are less thematic, focusing less on a given subject/luck and more on creating a general good vibe and energies at the place I live in. Of course, it's more likely having to do with our own energy than the actual power of objects. (I do believe there are objects with real power but they are also "charged" in some way, by something or someone.) It's like a strong placebo-effect expanded into the realm of spirituality, it's actually fascinating!

Edit. I'm interested B-)

Hey all!

I'm with Master Scythe on this topic.
To be honest, I don't even really understand, what are the actual differences between Jedi vs Gray Jedi or Dark Jedi vs Sith (latter more like technically speaking).
I already talked about things that somehow are considered dark side approaches but I fail to see why when only produces good results with good intentions and even good tools. (like the matter of how we handle emotions and passion - some agreed, some did not, but the world is colourful because it's not black and white )

In the fiction, Gray Jedi imho was just a label to put on individuals with different approaches to the same problems (providing with the same good intentions, of course). Master Qui-Gon Jinn was considered a gray Jedi *only* because he saw the weaknesses of the (prequel-era) Jedi Order and did not agree with the Council in everything. (Other example people usually come up with is Jolee Bindo from KoTOR but as far as I know, he doesn't even consider himself a Jedi at all. Correct me if I am wrong )
So it is more like a matter of authority rather than actual differences in teachings and views. So in my opinion, in the world of fiction, if the Jedi Council was more open-minded, observing and flexible, the term Gray Jedi would lose its meaning because Jedi in general may differ in ways they solve issues and conflicts. Of course, it has its own limitations and moral problems too but I believe it's not really an issue when someone truly listens to the Force.

There is the Force Academy Forum - which I long promised myself to involve into more - there are lots of amazing material on this topic, there maybe I can find my answers to the questions I asked above.

Oh damn, I don't know when I had such a good meditation session last time. Thanks for sharing! This guy is a really amazing teacher!

I raised my eyebrows when he stated the most well-known types of meditation are not actual meditations but when he went on explaining they are not wrong, just simple different (focus) exercises, it became clear and I was like, "ah, ok, now I see it" lol.

So I'm really happy that you shared this video. And I just realized that my recent inability to actually meditate was a fear of this exact nothingness that its purpose. I don't know, I think it stems from my recurring issues with grounding but I used to handle it much better back than (and I handle different things better now, so it's sort of exchanged thing for me). But now it felt amazing and simple, so will continue it daily. And this guy gained a new subscriber.

Edit: Just see it was shared a month ago. In a strange way, it appeared among the recently active topics. Nevermind.

Think I told you before but your drawings have spirit and moods! This one with the eagle strikes me especially! Good job, man.

This "study" seems rather biased for me, and what, only done with ONE person? Then it's merely anecdotal.

I'm not an expert at diets and nutrition (besides keto but that's a different topic) so I'm just gonna copypaste a comment from the comment section because he has really a good point:

"a few questions spring to mind. why is it automatically assumed that because eating fats temporarily lowers arterial elasticity a few hours later, that it constitutes 'arterial damage', and is therefore a bad thing? could it not just be part of the biological process, like blood sugar temporarily increasing after eating or lactic acid temporarily building up after muscle stress? why would we assume that our endothelial and vascular systems would be in a perfect, ideal state of functional bliss at all times, regardless of other changes to the system (ie, eating in general)? also, is the temporary loss of elasticity 'bad enough' to offset the nutritional benefits of nuts?"

Accepting the negative is a vital part but it doesn't mean to dwell on it or to hold on to a negative mindset. Just as being positive is not the same as living in a rainbow bubble. Do everything with the right mindset! Accept the negative but accept also that you have the power to change either the situation or your attitude towards it. Either, or, the change will happen eventually. That's positivity.

(Not arguing with you or with the quote, just found important to note it as most of us make this fallacy at least once on the path )
