I do a ton of role playing. I think I'm in four seperate games a week,
One of which I'm the GM. GMing is my favorite because I get to expand on my world and what not for my books

I've written so much new material.

I'm gonna have to make a PDF file for it. None of its actual story, just all background and lore. But I think this is a great place to share and bounce ideas

A good thought, Joda.

Expand on it a bit, if you will. Exactly why do they benefit more from the training and the journey? Is it because of their intention projected, or some other reasons? A mindframe? A sense of purpose?

So I've been world building for a while. My main project is a series of novels, stories, and what not known as Stories of Ocera. Stories of Ocera started as a Pathfinder/D&D homebrew campaign setting, made up so some friends and I could have a world to play our tabletop games in. It quickly grew to have a pretty in depth lore and some great characters. Now I'm working on a trilogy of books based in Ocera, along with many other things.

So I thought I'd share some things here as well!

It'll mainly be descriptions of the world and its characters, along with the occasional short about some of the characters, really anything that gets written will not only go up on the tumblr page, and the Wiki I made, but also here for you all to see :)

So first things first. Stories of Ocera is based in the medieval fantasy realm of Ocera. Ocera is a small planet, about half the size of Earth. It is compromised of two major continents, Ocera and Valka. The majority of the story so far takes place in Western Ocera, because that was the first realm I created. There are also the island nations of Napari, Mohn Tat, and Belari.

The majority of the stories revolve around a mysterious figure known as the Blood King, and several adventurers quest to discover more about him, and defeat him wherever his evil may come. There are also many more villans and heroes in Ocera, with their stories told as well.

That's the basics, but I'll post more soon!

He stands.
Sword drenched.
Muscles worn.
Sweat rolling off bare arms.
Shoulders heaving with heavy breath.
Feet rooted.
Ready for more demons.
But the demons never come
For they are already there
Bare chest
Heart occupied.
The demons occupying.

Faith and Compasses

I found Faith at a train station terminal.
Soaked in rain and just as tired as I.
I offered her a spot under my shelter.
My umbrella made of compasses.
She smiled and sat next to me.
A light touch of a dress to my hand.
A faint scent of peppermint perfume.
We talk of our dreams.
We talk of our lies.
We talk of our past
We talk of our tears.
For hours until we realized we missed our trains.
And that was the day Faith stayed with me.
Not as a person.
But as an umbrella made of compasses

Just as a clarification, I wrote these over a number of years. Like the last two or three :p these aren't recent

She says she loves my patience

I ask her “How one can be impatient with a human equivalent to the most beautiful of space-bound nebulas

The embodiment of the pin prick stars that make the otherwise light engulfing night sky so appealing to the eye and so beautiful to the soul

Let’s gather light. From each and every one of those giant spheres of hydrogen and helium and place it right next to you

I promise you, my dear, the light from your smile shines brighter. And the fire under my skin and in my chest burns hotter as you wrap your existence around mine.

Space is a big place. Infinite they say.

And I’d travel every light year of it to wrap my weary weak arms around your waist and hold the one thing I consider to be the only thing in the universe.

You make wishes on shooting stars, at least that’s what they say.
And I promise you, my love, each time I see one of those orbs of ice and rock, I smile.

Because I have no need for wishes with you, for you’re all
I feel so small, as space is overwhelming and I can’t quite put into words about how my love for you is an infinite times more overwhelming.

And I set my head down on my desk, in my little corner of the universe. And think to myself.

"She says she loves my patience. But when things like love are as infinite as space, impatience has no place and eventually shooting stars collide, no matter how many light years separate them.”

We’re shooting stars.

is what I whisper to you while you’re so many miles away.

I can't say much without repeating what the others have said.

I think I can speak for all of us when I say we're very proud of you for taking this step :) you've shown great courage, my friend.
As Amy said, you're never alone.

Best of luck to you, and may the Force be with you

I have a great love for writing, rather it be poetry or fiction. So I thought I'd share some with you all!

This is one of my personal favorites

Gowns and Dandelions

A golden gown draped over a skeleton

A skeleton that sits comfortably in the same spot I store my shirts

That door never opens, I’ve forgotten it can

and I hope to never remember that the knob turns right and is a bit wobbly

and that inside two steps to the left is the remnants of a life once lived

a life once lived a moment at a time as life should be

and like the white fluffy parachutes of dandelion flowers

each fluttering second flies out of my grasp and into the wild wind

I’ve been trying to recapture those tiny airborne meanings

but to no avail as a give up and bury my head in calloused hands

like the rough worn soles of a well worn traveler, my soul sits

sits all roughed up and falling apart from staying static too steadily

Worn out like sun soaked erosion from a future too bright

a present too grey

and a past not lit by moonlight

A golden gown sewn skillfully by hands shaking

from spiders silk from the blackest of widows

draped softly over collar of bleach white bones

A gown much better served over the shoulders of flesh

of life

and only time will tell when I’ll find the courage to twist that wobbly doorknob

and take two steps to the left

and take that gown and place it folded neatly into a suitcase

and find my way to a field full of flying white dandelion parachutes

and find my way to travel no more
