Knight NiraMorgan,
Thank you for your suggestion of the book "Jedi Compass ". I will certainly look into getting that. I just ordered Use the Force : The Jedi Science Behind the Law of Attraction by Joshua P. Warren Recommend to me by Master Octagon. The Jedi Compass will be my next read

Some other books that I found very helpful for my own development as a Jedi are "The Dharma of Star Wars" and "Comfortable with Uncertainty" by Pema Chodron. I'd give you the author of the first, but I am in the middle of moving so that book is packed deep in a box, lol.
They're both a bit Buddhist, but very useful for working through our own fears and gaining better self-insight/understanding of the self and how to obtain peace and wisdom in our lives. Be well.

I agree with Grayson the book of five rings is way better hat jedi path. I can't speak for jedi compass but it looks promising.
I own jedi path and boot of five rings. But I think five rings is more essential to developing the mindset that a jedi uses.

One thing to remember is that some of these books end up being apprentice reading assignments. Based on who your instructor ends up being.

Haha, Master Octagon. True that. Then again, having read a book before doesn't need to take away from the learning potential, if one is willing to do it twice. Some of these give more reward on a second read-through (or more, no idea how many times I've gone over the Dharma of Star Wars), but either way that's an important reminder.
