If anyone can list twelve good reasons to hate Br. John and (for The Gipper) one good reason to love Br. John; you get a gold star or a rusty trombone - your choice.

Chris Cornell You Know My Name Lyrics

If you take a life do you know what you'll give?
Odds are, you won't like what it is
When the storm arrives, would you be seen with me?
By the merciless eyes I've deceived

I've seen angels fall from blinding heights
But you yourself are nothing so divine
Just next in line

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins
You know my name

If you come inside things will not be the same
When you return to the night
And if you think you've won
You never saw me change
The game that we have been playing

I've seen diamonds cut through harder men
Than you yourself
But if you must pretend
You may meet your end

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
[ Lyrics found on http://www.metrolyrics.com ]

The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you willing to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins

Try to hide your hand
Forget how to feel
(Forget how to feel)

Life is gone with just a spin of the wheel
(Spin of the wheel)

Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you
The odds will betray you
And I will replace you
You can't deny the prize it may never fulfill you
It longs to kill you
Are you ready to die?

The coldest blood runs through my veins
You know my name
(You know my name)
You know my name
(You know my name)
You know my name!
You know my name!
You know my name!

I'm gonna take you up on this John. Not for out of malice or anger mind you, just for fun, and the rusty trombone I'll give it some thought and get back to you.

It is not of the Jedi to hate...apparently, you have not learned as much as you think...

Sad...very sad, indeed...that someone so smart just can't get it, regardless of how many times it is explained to him...

John, please get some help, and stop trying to understand something that you cannot...

I've said it time and time again... I do not hate you, Br. John... none of us do. All or nothing... absolutes. There is a middle ground, it does not have to be absolute love or absolute hate.

11.  Br. John once walked into a Burger King, asked for a Big Mac .... and got one.

10.  On a trip to Chicago, Br. John went to a McDonalds where they screwed up his order.  He force-chokd it so hard, it became a Wendy's.

9.  Br. John had sex with Natalie Portman.  9 months later, she gave birth to an Escalade.

8.  If you go into a bathroom, shut the door, kill the lights, and say "Br. John" three times while looking into a mirror.  You will then be force-choked to death.

7.  Br. John was seen walking down Flatbush Ave in Brooklyn NY with a massive erection.  There were no survivors.

6.  In a battle between Batman and Darth Vader, the winner would be Br. John.

5.  When Br. John does a pushup, he's not moving his body, he's re-positioning the Earth.

Okay, Okay. I have got to have a shot. I have a strang need to start cracking mean jokes now. so Here goes.

1) Guns have a Br. John problem.

2)  Br. John's tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried.

3) Br. John doesn't read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.

4) Br. John does not sleep. He waits.

5) There are no disabled people. Only people who have met Br. John

6) If paper beats rock, rock beats scissors, and scissors beats paper, what beats all 3 at the same time? Answer: Br. John.

7) It was once believed that Br. John actually lost a fight to a pirate, but that is a lie, created by Br. John himself to lure more pirates to him. Pirates never were very smart.

8) Although it is not common knowledge, there are actually three sides to the Force: the light side, the dark side, and Br. John.

9) Br. john drinks napalm to quell his heartburn.

10) A duck's quack does not echo. Br. John is solely responsible for this phenomenon. When asked why he will simply stare at you, grimly.

11) Br. John does not use spell check. If he happens to misspell a word, Oxford will simply change the actual spelling of it.

12) One time while sparring with Wolverine, Br. John accidentally lost his Ego. You might be familiar with it to this very day by its technical term: Jupiter.

Mean enough?

Greetings,

Perhaps being somewhat new here, I am catching only the end games of something that has been going on for sometime. Either that or a joke of some sort that I am not purvey to. However, if I can spread some of the wisdom that I have gained over several years at Jedi sites (albeit not this one), self-destruction seems to be a common denominator. Jedi sites often times crumble from within. Why is this I often ask myself. How can a group of purported Jedi fall to ego, power-hunger, and anger. Are we not suppose to be better than this. As Jedi, we should be working towards peace, unity, and harmony with one another. Even at the expense of our own ego. If I am reading this situation incorrectly and this is all in fun, then I apologize for my ignorance. However, this should raise a flag. As I am new to this site, I am not new to the Jedi Path. Others who come here to explore may not be so fortunate and thus be turned off by this unnecessary banter of hatred and blame. Again, this is just my persepctive. I am sorry if I am misreading the situation. One of the facets of this sight that I first found so delightful when I first graced its forum was the peace that I found. The pages blossomed to me, the posts were calming and peaceful, and the Jedi seemed wise. That facade crashed down recently. Perhaps the Jedi of this site can again find that harmony.

Respectfully,

Faris Najib, Jedi Knight

Faris Najib,

Your point is taken.  And yes, it would seem that we're going through a bitter period right now.  I sincerely hope we can return to a state of harmony and learning.  There's a lot of people working towards that end, and one that's not.

In any case, welcome to the Temple.

One thing that I have begun to recognize is that "Jedi" are "Jediish," in the same sense that Christians are little Christs and Buddhists are on the way to becoming Buddhas. We are nothing more than humans at various stages along the path. To expect perfection from ourselves or others is too much, but it is reasonable to require growth.
