I vote Yes, however, it would need a purpose more so than (I wanna be on the council!) type thing.

Before a vote of this goes through, my question before, as it is now, is will we be keeping the Committee system as we have been using for nearly 6 years, or are we going to scrap it and have the Council do all the work as it originally had? As we are bleeding members and not gaining them steady enough (either coming in or working consistently), I worry that we will lose more people if they do not have enough to do...especially since we do not have a significant enough amount of people posting in an attempt to further our philosophy. This has been happening for quite some time and I do not see a reconstitution of the Jedi Council as being a fix to that. This is not to say that I would not serve in the fullest capacity possible should I become a member of the Council, but I am attempting to see why we need it. The last vote we had for this won, but not by a large margin and that, in my humble opinion, was not enough range to justify this reformation.

The last vote was to see if members were interested in reforming the council. That vote passed. This vote is to reinstate the council. The council discussion thread talked about committee members becoming council members if this passed.

Hopefully if passed the council can come up with an agenda for increased participation. The only other offers being made was by Ace to create Youtube videos about our order.

Right, and if you place current committee members (all of them) on the Council, we will have nine people on it...which incidently is about the population of the people that actually post at all to the site. I find it funny that this type of thread gets so many views and a great number of responses, but when someone brings up a topic of discussion related to Jediism in some way, it gets what, 2-4 comments and nothing further. The lack of activity on this site is staggering as is the lack of interest I feel from a majority of the members. This goes beyond 'life happens' in my view of this. Rather than re-intializing a Council and seeing what they can come up with, why is this not already a topic in the Knights Discussions boards where more heads can hope to come up with a working solution? I do not see a point in this (Reforming the Council) idea.

Ive noticed with many threads in general get large views but not many responses. Perhaps a new thread should be created to get ideas on how to get more activity.

Migrate the whole site to joomla or wordpress? :P :P
