Hello everyone. Figured I would make my introductory thread here finally. Bit of a story about my membership:

I've been a member of the site for a while, but lost my account information. I used to be a member on another Jedi site, and had planned on doing both of the training programs here and there, but had some health issues that got in the way of doing either. During that time, I lost my account information and the computer that I'd stored it on. As it turns out, that was a blessing in disguise. A nudge from the Force, even, maybe. During my time healing and away from Jedi communities, it allowed me to self-reflect a lot, to realize why I wanted to study as a Jedi, and gave me time to build up a personal foundation of practice, faith, and my own understanding of my connection to the Force that I hope has given me a solid foundation for study here. Eventually, I do want to go with my original plan, and study in multiple Jedi communities. However, I underestimated my health the first time around, and don't want to do that again. I hope to stick with this forum, since the training program seems to best reflect the personal feelings I've come to have during my self-reflection.

I don't remember exactly how I found this site, but I remember how I found Jediism. I had a moment, reading up on the more obscure parts of Star Wars lore, the mundane day-to-day daily life of the Jedi and the Je'daii in it, and learning more Force theology stuff, where I felt this utter sense of recognition, of understanding and connection to those things. A lot of it reflected beliefs I've had since I was a little kid. I began to research real-world Jediism, then apply it to my daily life and religious practice. Since doing so, I've found a great amount of personal peace, and pushed myself to better myself and my habits in ways I would not have been able to otherwise. I'd love to study this more formally, and be able to talk about the Force and our relationships with it with other like-minded people, which is why I've revived my account and am finally posting here.

Bit about me. I'm a student, seemingly eternally since my health gets in the way of school a lot. I do art, and have recently gotten into the hobby of lightsaber-building. I hope to meet all of you and get to know you soon, have good discussions, and learn. :)

Welcome to our temple!
The first step in becoming an Apprentice, should you feel so inclined, is to begin a training Journal in the appropriate forum. In your training journal your first post should be to introduce yourself, tell us what brought you to our temple, what you hope to learn here, and why you want to become a Jedi.

To complete the Initiate's requirements for Apprenticeship, please complete the following: Begin with meditating on and describing line-by-the Jedi code, creed, tenets, 16 teachings, & Vows (found HERE).

Please be as elaborate and as thorough as possible, relating any experiences that you have had with them. Please pace yourself with these works, and remember that this is not a race. This is about the journey, and not the destination. This is how you will come to know us, and how we will come to know you. You are not under any deadline to complete this aspect of your journal.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Namaste,

Thank you for the welcome! I will start my Training Journal soon, then, with that information included in it.

Edit: I can't seem to find where to post a journal. Could someone help guide me to the right part of the site?

Hi Taran!! Welcome!
It looks like your account isn't yet in initiate mode? I think...? Master Ace or Master Octagon? They're very helpful in these matters!

I'm so glad you've found your way here! It's a great community of brothers and sisters, in my opinion.

Thanks for the welcome Hiker! That was definitely part of what appeals to me here. It really feels like a community of people learning together, sharing what they know, swapping ideas. The posts I've read so far have all been interesting and friendly. Glad to be here!
