Greetings, when Yoda trained Luke, Why was he on Luke's back? If it doesn't have anything to do with Yoda being the master, could I apply this training technique with my little brother?

Yoda was on Luke's back for a couple of reasons, number one being that Yoda was 900 years old (exactly) and did not have the speed or agility Luke did. Riding Luke's back gave Yoda a way to stay with Luke at all times. Reason number two being that Yoda's added weight to Luke's back made it harder for Luke to move quickly and efficiently, though it looked easy as we saw him doing backflips and running through the swamp on degobah. In reality Yoda was a puppet and didn't weigh much, but if a real creature were on his back, that would add at least 50 lbs to Luke. Yoda was giving Luke weight training, if he can become as fast and as agile with an extra 50 lbs on his back, he'll be even faster and even more agile without it.

Also Yoda was holding on to Luke and was in no danger of falling or being landed on since he's a Jedi Master. I don't know how old your little brother is but trying to do parkour with him on your back is extremely dangerous. Your best bet in duplicating Yoda's training of Luke is to get ahold of a weighted training suit and use that.

I wouldn't do full parkour, just run. Also, we have a carrier to strap him on.

How old is your little brother? I wouldn't even think of doing something like that with a live person strapped to my back. Yoda was a Jedi Master who could take care of himself if Luke fell. Plus Yoda instructed him as he ran. I don't think your brother would be doing that.
