Hello all, has anyone seen the movie Inside Out? I have and I noticed a connection to our philosophy. In it, as a newborn, Riley creates emotions based on her environment. For the majority of the movie it seems the opposite of our belief; emotions control us. As the movie progresses, we see glimpses of other minds which seem like the person workswith emotions as opposed to controlling them outright. I like this Idea of a form of team effort of instinct and thought.

I'd like to check that out. What year was this made. I've found several movies with that name.

I loved that movie! A fantastic potential tool to teach children how to better verbalize and understand their emotions. Both psychologically and socially, I think it's the kind of movie that could prove educational both for children and for adults who never quite learned how to communicate emotions to others. And it's quite touching too, with a good message.

Both me and the little sister cried our eyes out when the poor imaginary childhood friend disappeared. But from another perspective, we all tend to grow up and forget things as we go, and there are things we need to let go of to grow. That's a good lesson, even if it was very sad in the movie.

But yeah, I really liked that film.
