Hello all, why is there a timer when posting on the forums? Shouldn't I have longer because journal posts are to be fairly long? I'm asking because I recently finished a journal post about the 16 teachings and lost it.

We advise members to write long posts out in a text file or word processor first then post it. Lately it's been pretty good, it will advise you of the timeout but if you click ok it restores the edit and you can post it without a problem. The other work around is to ctrl a and ctrl c to copy it before posting, that way you can just crtl v to replace it and then post.

I actually have this problem pretty frequently, and have learned to not use the quick reply box. I use the full reply form instead, and almost never have problems with that.

Often, if I use the quick reply box at the bottom of the thread, it'll time out and even the regular reply form won't work at that point until I log out and back in again.

Yeah, I don't use the fast reply option much either, and have found that as long as I write continuously, then there tends to be no problem. It's more when I write some, take a break and then write some, that stuff tends to get all hung up. Not sure if that's the time limit, sometimes writing my posts take forever, but still I don't get any problems if I was writing continuously.

What browser do you use? I use Chrome and have had very few problems and haven't lost a post in a long time. Usually when it does time out the post was still there, all I had to do was submit it again.
