This comes to you because of the recent upgrade in status (Imminent) for the Yellowstone Volcano!

Let's say you survive a huge natural disaster that wipes out your country's ability to function (if you look at the map of what they predict will be affected by a Yellowstone eruption, America would be devastated and not able to realistically pull through)- what exactly do you believe a surviving Jedi's role would be? Many scenarios could play out, we've seen the movies, so we know how people might react. There could be lawlessness abound, food certainly would be a concern, water supplies possibly ruined, psychological impacts of having to deal with the crisis and loss of family across the US. Some areas may loose electricity and technology, at extremes nuclear material leaked from facilities which can no longer keep up with cooling systems. Any number of things could happen, and a large number of things may never happen.

Looking at Katrina, we know that people may not react as poorly as we see in films. Despite an abundance of reports of looting and lawlessness, the prevalence of such was not nearly what the media led us to believe.

Which brings us to the question: What would a Jedi response be to this post-apocalyptic world?

I'm issuing a challenge with this though- in your response use supporting evidence from either the ToTJF Doctrine, the Jedi Behaviors (found on Wookiepedia), The Jedi Compass, The Jedi Circle and/or the Jedi Jewel Series.

The first thing that came to me is that a Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense. What ever happened I'd have to center myself and contact a greater aspect of the Force for direction first thing.

Interesting topic. Here are some related posts.
