the beifits include

Loosens the Muscles and Builds Power

Strengthens the Organs

Improves Cardio-pulmonary Function

Strengthens the Nerves

Improves Vascular Function

Can Be Used by the Seriously Ill

Helps Prevent Injury to Joints, Ligaments and Bones

Speeds Recovery Time from Injuries and Operations

Builds Athletic and Martial Arts Power

Eases Stress and Balances Emotions

Benefits Sedentary Workers and Meditators

Here's a link to the one I do.

Just curious does anyone else practice qigong? If so what benefits do you do it for?

Great for building energy and is usually an addition to Tai-Chi.

Yes it is. I've found its good for a nice boost of energy first thing in the morning. I usually do it right before I walk/run to work.

Is it possible to learn qigong without a class? I barely have any personal time outside of work and school, typically most places do not offer a class when I have free time.

That I am aware of, it is not probable to sufficiently learn enough about a martial art sufficiently when it is not taught in person that it will be of much benefit. I'm under the same impression with Reiki, and QuiGong.

A person who has had basic instruction from a trained instructor can develop a martial art using e-learning. However it is difficult. You have to have a basic understanding for it to work but you also have to work at it a lot harder.

A person with no prior training from a trained instructor should not try to learn a martial art from e learning. It will only cause you to develop flaws, mistakes and poor form.

Qigong is a Chinese system of physical exercises and breathing control related to tai chi. While it has benifits in martial arts it's really just an active form of meditation.

Tried some quigong practices a few times and it helped very much dealing with my kundalini issues and energy overloads. Actually, this is my experience with any kind of movement ways that include stretchings also. I'm considering taking some lessons, actually.
