Someone asked me what I was currently meditating on. Well here is a part of it. From, The Four Agreements. The key is to not get so wrapped up in ourselves that we assume we know what is going on with someone else, so we cease asking questions to learn and react to others based on how we feel about ourselves.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWqg7yg1NEA
We only hear what we want to hear and see what we want to see. We have the habit of dreaming with no basis in reality. We literally dream things up in our imagination when we don’t understand situations. These dreams are called ‘assumptions’.

We have the tendency to make assumptions about everything that others are doing and thinking. The problem with making assumptions is that we believe that they are the truth. But when you think about it, we are afraid to ask questions to get clarification, so we make assumptions.

The Four Agreements Chapter Four The Third Agreement: Don’t Make Assumptions
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPuETANTFa0
The best way to not make assumptions is to ask questions
But intention is just as important
Questions are asked for clarity, not scrutiny

When you alter habits, your reality changes as well
What’s of necessity comes to you easily
Due to spirit flowing freely

Never assume, asked for clarity;
This way, your word can retain its impeccability

What a wonderful subject for meditation, Master Octagon. It seems like the unspoken need behind assumptions would be curiosity.

How would you try to inspire curiosity in yourself in those areas?

How can all of us inspire curiosity in ourselves?

Excellent questions, meditation is the spiritual garden of peace.

I've done it so long that it's taking some time to get out of the habit. (Habits are cobwebs that can become cables).

I like that if you do make an assumption then assume the highest. That takes one out of survival mode and into accomplishment mode. It creates a path based on seeking the best in yourself and others verses the other way around.

Asking questions opens doors and ultimately brings everyone closer together because questions can create a bond which allows people to see others in greater dimensions.

I think the Four Agreements would be an interesting tool to add to training. What does everyone else think?

“Assume the highest”. I love it!

It seems the Four Agreements are a wonderful template to being a good person. Maybe you can explain them in context of being Jedi?

Yes I could but I'm making an assumption my answers wouldn't surprise you as they are within you already.

So my question is what do you seek?

Oouuf. Direct as ever, Master O!

I liked the idea of having content added that expanded our Temple’s body of knowledge in a meaningful manner (in context of being Jedi more so than study of external sources).

Knowing what I know of you, Master O, that project would be something that could yield wonderful depths and a quality of experience that we would not otherwise have with reading the book of Four Agreements alone.

Well done, and well said. I admit I'm still testing you and you're still uplifting yourself to the occasion. Nothing messes with your Zen, not even me.

It was a much needed reminder to cut through to the intention when putting burden on others.

I deeply apologize for any disrespect that may have caused!
